The Ohana Fund

The Ohana Fund was established at the 2026 Annual Meeting to support the ongoing educational mission of PCSA. In its inagural year, the Fund raised nearly $10,000 for PCSA's future. The Ohana Fund will support PCSA through member-facing benefits, including:
- Scholarships for member attendance;
- CME accreditation activities;
- Unique educational or networking opportunities;
- ...and other activities that directly support member learning and professional development.

Donations to the Ohana Fund help support the future success of PCSA and its members. Donations to the Ohana Fund are fully tax-deductible in accordance with PCSA's 501(c)3 nonprofit status. Donors in the following categories will be acknowledged at the Annual Meeting and in the Annual program. These categories are named in honor of the rich heritage of Hawaii, where PCSA has many of its annual meetings and where special memories are shared between our members.

Nene Circle: The Nene is the state bird of Hawaii, a beautiful, goose-like bird with unique colors. It is a reminder of life's unique guardians, much like surgeons.
Honu Circle: The honu is Hawaii's sea turtle, known for its unusual habit of laying on the beach and sunbathing. They represent a surgeon's wisdom and bring good luck.
Manu Circle:
Kohola Circle: The Kahola, or humpback whales of Hawaii, are considered the ancestral, spiritual guardians. As too are the legacy donors of this circle, ensuring the health and success of future generations of PCSA.
